This customer planned to finish off their project with a wall-to-wall carpet and decided the ThermalDry Floor Matting would be the best solution for an underlayment. The purpose of the Matting is to isolate the carpet from the cold, hard, damp concrete floor. By not laying the carpet directly onto the concrete floor, it will be warmer, dryer, and better smelling.

I am in the process of purchasing a home with a wet crawl space. I would like an estimate for how much it will cost to seal the space to prevent moisture in the living space.

We've had problems with water in our basement pretty regularly for the last year. Most recently, our sump pump stopped working and it resulted in a few inches of water throughout the basement. It's not a finished basement thankfully, but we're hoping to figure out where water is coming in from it rains and put a stop to it somehow, fix the flooring that was damaged (it was a partly painted, partly laminate floor and parts have washed away because of the water), and basically just make it not be such a problem anymore! There is a sewer project happening our our street starting this summer, so I'm not sure if it makes sense to do this while that is happening, or before, or after, or what. But I figure that is something you can look at. This ended up being quite a long message, but I did see on TV that you do free estimates, so I'm wondering if it's possible to have someone come out and give us an idea of what can be done, when it can be done, and how much it'll cost us. Thank you so much for your time!

Water coming into basement between floor and wall. There is a known leakage but appears to be getting worse (especially since flood last June) and now the drain in the basement appears to be plugged but I will be working on that. I have no idea where the drain goes to. We have never had a problem with the drain.

Our house is an 1897 house on a stone foundation. In heavy rains and spring floods, we get water into the uphill side of our unfinished basement, which is built on fractured bedrock. I jack hammered a hole to capture and sump it out from that room, but it does not take care of all the moisture. Also there is moisture seepage around other parts of the wall-- not heavy, but enough to keep the floor moist and humidity up. And in a couple of large storms (including the big one last June) water flowed up into the basement from the floor drain-- I am guessing it goes into a dry well on the downhill side of the building and that became saturated. Kept flowing the wrong way for a full day in the last storm.

We are looking to have some indoor air quality testing done in our office.
Project Location: Houghton, MI
My house is 120 years old with a sandstone foundation. The recent flooding in the area filled my basement with about 3-4 inches of water. I could actually see a spout of water coming through one of the walls the night of the storm as if there was a faucet there (which there is not). On rare occasions when the frost is deep, my basement will fill with 3-4 inches of water during the spring melt. But usually I just get puddles here and there. I would like to have the foundation inspected and have any holes repaired. It also needs tuck pointing in places. The basement floor is concrete but after the water receded after our recent flood, the floor felt spongy. There are cracks in the cement. And finally, I'm concerned about the support posts in the basement. They are wood and I know at least one needs to be repaired or replaced. Thanks for your consideration.
